McAlister Angus originated as Republic Ranches in 1957 and has been a member of the American Angus Association from 1965. We are located in Northwest Arkansas (Huntsville) and Mountain Home, Arkansas. The Angus herd started as a registered group and was maintained as commercial until 2000, when we added 50 head of registered heifers from Huckfelt in Gordon, Nebraska.

With input from the University of Arkansas's Department of Animal Sciences, Gene McDonald of Windy Hills Farms, and Mark Hubbard, DVM, we started our seed stock. Now we have available registered bulls and heifers, pairs and 3 ways. Our genetics include 878, Lead-on, 602C, and Frontline.
